How We Work

Knowing how we work will help you know what to expect when you visit our office.
Financial Policies
Our staff of professionals is highly trained and experienced in pediatric dentistry and delivers the highest possible quality of care with the very best materials available.
We operate on a fee-for-service basis. Please pay on the day of service as this helps keep our overhead down and allows our fees to remain as low as possible. Do not hesitate to discuss any fees with us. Our rates are regularly compared to the market by a third party firm. We make every effort to make our fees are competitive and fair.
For our patients without dental insurance, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and CareCredit. If lengthy treatment is needed, special financial arrangements may be made. Any insurance program is solely between you, as a patient, and the carrier of your insurance, but the RESPONSIBILITY OF PAYMENT for our services IS YOURS.
- Our “in network” insurance carriers are:
- Delta Dental TN
- BlueCross BlueShield TN
- MetLife PPO
- Cigna PPO (not HMO)
If you are unsure about your insurance coverage, please call our office at (615) 824-1700.

CST: Children's Standard Time
Dr. Bill Taylor, Dr. Mary Beth Tabor and Dr. Katie Ham deal primarily with children, therefore our office operates on CST (Children’s Standard Time). When you enter our office, you automatically enter CST, which means you may experience a few delays as you wait for your scheduled appointment.
Here’s why:
- Some children need special attention to help them relax during an office visit. Our staff takes special care—and as much time as needed—to help minimize the fear children have during a visit.
- We see many children throughout the day who have had an accident/dental injury and need immediate attention.
As a parent, you can take comfort in the knowledge that our staff dedicates immediate attention to dental emergencies and strives to make the dental experience as comfortable as possible for every child. That’s why we know you’ll understand that as much as we try to stay on schedule, there may be occasional delays.
Prevention Visits
We hope you share in our belief that regular preventive dental health care is a sound investment. To facilitate regular care, we recommend that your child be seen approximately every six months for a cleaning and check-up. The visit may be scheduled six months in advance. We will mail you a postcard reminder prior to the appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. At check-up time you will be asked to update your child's health history with any illnesses, conditions, medications, etc., which may have changed or occurred since the last visit. Upon completion of the dental exam we will discuss with you any needs or concerns you or the doctor may have. Click here for more information on our routine care services.
