DR. F. WILLIAM TAYLOR
Known as one of the leading pediatric and special needs dentists in the region, F. William Taylor, DDS, MS, draws patients from throughout the Southeast.
Born in Morristown, Tennessee, Dr. Taylor attended the School of Dentistry at Emory University in 1981. After graduation, Dr. Taylor completed two additional years of study in pediatric dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, one of the highest-ranked dental schools in the country. He holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master's degree in science. He also completed a one-year fellowship in dentistry for those with special needs.
In 1990, Dr. Taylor was certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. This voluntary certification, which includes rigorous examinations and takes between five to eight years to complete, is achieved by only a small percentage of dentists nationwide.
Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Christian Medical Society, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He currently serves as clinical instructor in dentistry at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and is a member of one of the two Cranial Facial Anomalies Teams in Tennessee. He has received several high-profile appointments by elected officials, including a post on the Governor’s Family Involvement Task Force of the Tennessee Children’s Service Commission and the Mayor of Nashville’s Advisory Committee for the handicapped.
Dr. Taylor is active in and past president of both the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Hendersonville. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. In his spare time, Dr. Taylor enjoys recreational sports and spending time with his wife and three children.
DR. MARY BETH TABOR
Mary Beth Tabor, DDS brings a passion for pediatric and special needs dentistry to our dental team. Before joining the practice in June 2004, Dr. Tabor graduated with high honors from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. She received the Dental Scholarship Endowment and the Jack T. Andrews Award, both of which were awarded based upon leadership and scholastic achievement. She was also actively involved in the Christian Medical and Dental Association, the American Student Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Association of Women’s Dentistry. Dr. Tabor also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Dr. Tabor and her husband, Dr. Jayson Tabor, also a dentist, live in Hendersonville, Tennessee. They are active participants in international medical and dental mission trips and have helped hundreds of patients in Ecuador and El Salvador.
